Year 1 Priorities

Annual Goals

Our first-year priorities are organized by category to ensure balanced organizational development.

Programs

  • Launch first Rites of Passage cohort (10–12 youth)
  • Launch first Restoring Adam Project circle (6–10 men)
  • Pilot The Incubator in one community setting
  • Train and certify 3 program facilitators

Governance

  • Strengthen and expand the established board of directors as needed
  • Complete 501(c)(3) application and submission
  • Adopt bylaws and conflict of interest policy
  • Maintain a documented quarterly board meeting cadence

Financial

  • Secure $50,000 in launch funding
  • Submit 2 grant applications
  • Launch founding sponsor campaign
  • Establish basic financial reporting cadence

Community

  • Establish 3 community referral partnerships
  • Launch public website and brand presence
  • Hold one community information session
  • Recruit 10 trained volunteer mentors

Strategic Priorities

Major Organizational Priorities

Program Expansion

Launch all three core programs with full facilitator coverage. Develop a school-based partnership model for Rites of Passage. Begin scoping Incubator in-facility partnerships.

Financial Sustainability

Diversify revenue across individual donors, corporate sponsors, grants, and program fees. Establish a reserve fund by Year 3. Pursue multi-year grants from local and national foundations.

Leadership Pipeline

Build a facilitator certification program so alumni can become program leaders. Develop succession planning for the founder role. Formalize volunteer leadership structure.

Community Growth

Deepen roots in Atlanta before expanding. Establish referral pipelines with 10+ community organizations. Begin relationships with 2–3 cities for future chapter development.

Measurement & Learning

Establish baseline outcome measures for all programs by Year 1. Publish first outcomes report by Year 2. Partner with a university or research organization for longitudinal study.

Reputation & Credibility

Pursue Guidestar/Candid certification. Submit for national recognition in youth development and men's health spaces. Build a media presence and publish content that advances the field.
